Born on the Greek island of Corfu, Anna Naltsatzian Bourla is a proponent of the life-changing aspects of adopting a healthy diet. After recovering from breast cancer, she moved from New York to her native Greece. There she rediscovered the merits and health benefits of sensible, low-fat Mediterranean food and has since been living a healthy, cancer-free life.
A child of two nations, Naltsatzian Bourla spent much of her life honing the skills she learned from both her parents. From her Armenian father she learned to paint Byzantine icons, a skill she combined with modern sensibilities to forge her own unique style of art that has been on display in the Montserrat Gallery in New York City.
From her Greek mother, Naltsatzian Bourla learned Greek cooking. Her experimentation with her mother’s recipes resulted in a great improvement of her health and well-being. Now cancer-free, Naltsatzian Bourla believes that healthy eating and thinking made a huge difference in her health, and she wants to share her experience in book form.
Now a permanent resident of Athens, Greece, Naltsatzian Bourla hopes to spread the regenerative properties of a healthy Greek diet. She spends her days cooking for friends, gardening, and painting. She has one son, screenwriter David Bourla. |
