“A good read for those who want to get in touch with the fundamentals of faith.”
—Midwest Book Review
A meditation on the fundamental biblical teachings of Christianity, this personal confession of faith describes what is of greatest importance for living a faithful and Christian life. Drawing upon historical Baptist doctrine, this text aspires to bring all readers into the fellowship of Christ by presenting different aspects of Christian belief. Prayer, the sanctifying power of Jesus Christ, baptism, the Lord’s Supper, family worship, and witnessing the word of God are only a few of the Christian principles presented in this prayerful book.
Rich in scriptural references, quotations, and reflections, each chapter begins with a statement of belief, including “I Believe in Prayer,” “I Believe in the Church,” and “I Believe in the Return of Christ.” Unintimidating in its length, yet detailed and thoughtful enough to explain the central tenets of biblical faith, this reverent and celebratory guide is an inspired gift from the pen of a pastor well versed in the teachings of the Bible.
