About the Author
Anita C. Prieto was a celebrated administrator and educator for more than thirty years. She earned a BA and MA in education from Louisiana State University and completed a doctoral program with the University of New Orleans. A resident of Metairie, Louisiana, Prieto is a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.
About the Illustrator
Virginia Howard is the founding editor of THEMA, a theme-based literary journal. She worked as an associate editor, graphic designer, and Web designer at Louisiana State University’s School of Medicine for many years. Howard is an active member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. She lives in Metairie, Louisiana.
