About the Author/Illustrator
Daryl Hutchinson received a Technical Illustration Award from Macworld magazine and has worked as a senior designer for Ford Motor Company, a creative director for the Tampa (FL) Tribune, and an illustrator and designer at Super Duper Publications, a publisher of children’s educational products. His artistic endeavors range from creating interactive CDs to traditional pen and ink illustrations. A member of his local Sons of Confederate Veterans camp, he explains that his goal as an author is “to create a wider understanding of the South and to perpetuate the memory of our Confederate ancestors” through his artwork. Hutchinson lives in Travelers Rest, South Carolina.
