The legend of the Claddagh ring involves romance, adventure, and an everlasting love that is sure to capture hearts.
The charming tale begins in Claddagh, Ireland, with the love of Richard and Nuala, who wish to be married but cannot afford to do so. Richard leaves Claddagh in search of his fortune, and along the way, his ship is taken over by pirates. Richard is sold as a slave, and many years pass before he is able to return to Claddagh. Much to his surprise, he finds Nuala still waiting for him.
As a symbol of their love, friendship, and faithfulness, Richard crafts a ring for Nuala, which is now known as the Claddagh ring, and gives it to her on their wedding day. When the ring is worn on the left hand with the heart facing inward, it means that two loves are forever joined.
A Claddagh ring is included with the book so that you too can continue and enjoy the enchanting legend that began with true love.
