“Charmaine is a skilled communicator with a flowing, entertaining writing style.”
—Catherine Naghten, editor, Australian Natural Health magazine
Many women deal with stress differently from their male counterparts. They are taught at a young age to take care of the needs of others while neglecting their own. In doing so, women end up repressing their emotions, allowing tension to build up in the body. This kind of strain can cause long-term damage to the immune system, making the body more susceptible to infection and disease.
Author and therapist Dr. Charmaine Saunders educates women on how to reduce and handle the stress in their lives more effectively. A number of strategies and techniques are offered to help women understand the causes and effects of the most common anxieties. Personal anecdotes and case studies illustrate the challenges that others have had in these situations and what was done to overcome them.
