Set in 1978 in the rural South, this novel draws upon the author’s own experiences as a criminal defense attorney and judge in a small town. As author Gordon “Bubber” Jenkinson examines themes ranging from racial tension and voodoo to drug trafficking and revenge, he reveals that there is little innocence in this rural life. Violence and conspiracy errupt, leading to a shocking conclusion.

About the Author
Gordon “Bubber” Jenkinson serves as a judge in the fourth judicial circuit and travels around the state of South Carolina holding court. A graduate of The Citadel, he worked as a trial lawyer for more than three decades after receiving his JD from the University of South Carolina School of Law. The events of River Road, his second novel, are based on his experiences working as a public defense attorney in Williamsburg County, South Carolina.
About the Artist
William McCullough who created the artwork on the front cover of the book, divides his time between South Carolina and the south of France. His work hangs in several museums and is displayed on his Web site at www.williammccullough.com.
